What to expect with a mystery Holiday at Las Vegas

There’s no denying that Las Vegas is big and brash, after all, not many cities can boast a replica of the Eiffel Tower, Statue of Liberty and Grand Canal in Venice.

But that’s all part of the charm of Las Vegas, a city made for people to come and enjoy without ever having to feel guilty about it. After all, as the saying goes, ‘what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas.

The heart of the action is the Vegas Strip, lined with some of the top hotels and a wonder of lights, fountain displays and other attractions particularly after dark. It would be wrong not to spend at least a few minutes at a slot machine, but don’t forget that the Las Vegas Boulevard also has some excellent eating options, and features shows by leading lights in song, dance and magic.

Good to know before you go to Las Vegas

Las Vegas is huge, so while it might look like it’s possible to walk from resort to resort, their sheer size may mean you find yourself trekking a mile or more unexpectedly. It’s worth checking out if a resort has a shuttle service between locations, otherwise Uber and Lyft are popular ways of getting about, though they usually have specific pick up and drop off points you might not be aware of.

Although all attractions accept credit cards, tipping staff should be done in cash. Casinos have high ATM charges for withdrawing money on their premises, so it’s always worth having dollars in your pocket before you reach the gambling floor.
