MYSTERY Holidays™
Singapore
Gold Level Destination
Duration: 7 nights
Take a chance on Singapore
Count yourself very lucky if you find yourself with confirmation of a mystery holiday to Singapore, one of south east Asia’s most exciting destinations.
A gateway to the region since its foundation in 1819, this tiny city state is often thought of as a stopover city. However, take the opportunity to stay longer with a seven night mystery holiday and you’ll find Singapore has more than enough to keep even the most active of travellers entertained.
From the thriving downtown area full of shining tower blocks to its richly atmospheric Chinatown, small traditional neighbourhoods and islands that have become destinations in their own right you’ll be able to experience it all.

What to expect from a mystery holiday to Singapore
Attracting people from right across the globe for centuries, modern Singapore is a thriving multicultural society festooned with celebrations and festivities throughout the year.
The marina area in downtown Singapore should hold the centre of your attention, and is where you’ll find many of the city’s biggest attractions, from the lotus-like ArtScience Museum to the supertrees of the Gardens by the Bay.
Slightly further away, Orchard Road is the city’s Oxford Street and Fifth Avenue, lined with multi-level malls alongside more traditional antiques stores, cafés and other places to eat. You should also consider the easy trip to either Pulau Ubin, a car-free island said to show what Singapore was like before the development of the late twentieth century, or Sentosa Island, where you’ll find various theme parks including Universal Studios.
Good to know before you go to Singapore
Watch out for unusual laws, such as the ban on the importation of chewing gum, aimed at preventing littering. At best, you’ll have your gum taken off you when you arrive, at worst you could face a fine of S$100,000 or even prison.
You’ll want a light jacket. Although Singapore sits firmly in the tropics close to the equator, air conditioning in malls and on public transport can be so fierce you’ll want something to wrap around you.
Hawker food halls, located in neighbourhoods right across Singapore, are excellent value compared to more formal restaurants, a great way to see the island like a local and a good way to make friends too.
